How we vet providers
Providers do not appear on the platform automatically. Before a provider can be matched with a customer, they pass each of these checks.
ABN verified
Every application's ABN is validated before it can proceed, and we confirm the business is genuine and registered as part of our review. Providers join under their own ABN, not anonymously.
Reviewed before joining
We do not list providers publicly or let anyone self-activate. Each application lands for review and stays pending until we have looked at it. Providers are matched with customers only after that review.
Licensing and insurance confirmed
Before a provider goes live, we confirm they hold the insurances, licences and registrations needed to carry and dispose of the relevant waste lawfully. It keeps the network trusted for the businesses we match them with.
Bound by a written agreement
Each provider accepts the Provider Partner Agreement, governed by South Australian law, before taking work. It sets out the service standards below and lets us suspend or remove a provider who does not meet them.
The standards providers agree to
Every provider accepts the Provider Partner Agreement before taking work. These are the service standards it holds them to.
Licensing, insurance and compliance
Providers maintain the insurances, licences and registrations required to carry and dispose of the relevant waste lawfully, and keep them current for as long as they are in the network.
Service performance
Providers contact you within 4 business hours, or the next business morning, accept or decline a booking within one business day, and honour the rate advertised to you where the service details match what you submitted.
Accurate pricing and details
Providers keep their rates, service areas, waste types, exclusions and additional fees accurate and truthful, and update them before they appear to customers. Price and service claims have to be capable of substantiation under the Australian Consumer Law.
Customer care, direct with you
Your provider supplies and delivers the bin, performs the collections, manages the ongoing service and invoices you directly under its own terms, including any missed collection, contamination, overweight or access charges.
Held to account
Meeting the standards is a condition of staying in the network. The Provider Partner Agreement lets us suspend or remove a provider for:
- Slow to contact a customer after a booking
- Repeated missed collections
- Undisclosed or hidden fees
- Changing an advertised price after a booking is made
- Poor communication, or unsafe or unlawful practices
- A high complaint rate
Bookings are allocated on provider fit, not on who pays the most. We match on service area and route day, the waste type and bin size you need, pricing accuracy, response speed and complaint record, with your fit coming first.

Common questions
How do you check a provider before they join?
Every provider is ABN verified, then their application is reviewed before they can go live. We confirm they hold the licences and insurances needed to carry and dispose of the relevant waste lawfully, and they accept our Provider Partner Agreement, which sets the service standards they have to meet.
Who delivers the bin and sends my invoice?
Your local provider does. Bin Hire Australia is a free booking and comparison platform. The provider you are matched with supplies the bin, performs the collections, manages the ongoing service and invoices you directly. Bin Hire Australia does not collect, transport or dispose of waste, and takes no commission on your provider's invoices.
Does it cost me anything to book?
No. Booking through Bin Hire Australia is free for customers. You pay your provider for the service they supply, at the rate shown to you. Bin Hire Australia is paid by participating providers, not by you.
What happens if a provider does not meet the standards?
