Education campuses succeed with clear stations and student ownership. Here's a blueprint that works without adding admin overhead.

Station design

• Trio stations: general, commingled, paper/cardboard. No desk bins.
• Real photos on signs (canteen items, student packaging). Keep words minimal.
• Place stations at exits of food areas and near classrooms.

Contamination blockers

• Empty-liquid reminder at drink stations.
• Separate organics where food is consumed (240L liners, 3-5x weekly).
• Lock outdoor bins to prevent public dumping.

Student-led checks

• Nominate "green captains" per building to spot-check weekly.
• Keep a simple log: date, issues, photos.
• Celebrate improvements (house points or shout-outs).

Service cadence

• Start with 240L commingled/paper weekly; adjust after two weeks based on fullness.
• Add cardboard stream for deliveries (660L weekly) if boxes pile up.
• Increase organics in summer to reduce odour.
