QSR sites need fast, clean waste moves for drive-thru and dine-in. Set clear streams and pickups around trade peaks.

Streams

• General: 240L-660L rear-lift, 4-7x weekly depending on volume.
• Organics: 240L liners, 4-6x weekly; increase in summer to manage odour.
• Cardboard: 240L-660L; flatten boxes to avoid overflow.
• Commingled: bottles/cans only; keep liquids out.
• Grease trap: keep pump-out log on the wall; 1-3 monthly per utility.

Layout and signage

• Trio station in staff prep area; front-of-house pairs of general and commingled with clear yes/no signs.
• Coffee cups and drink lids to general unless a dedicated cup stream exists.
• Keep commingled away from sinks to reduce liquid contamination.

Scheduling

• Extra pickups after weekend peaks; lighter midweek where possible.
• Track fullness for two weeks; aim for 60-80% at pickup before changing size or frequency.
